Forward fx rate curve

An FX forward is quoted as the number of basis points (called DP in FX convention) against the current FX spot rate for a future delivery date. It is also called FX foward spread. The term structure of FX forwards is known as FX forward curve. Forward rates are widely used for hedging purposes in the currency market to lock in an exchange rate for the purchase or sale of a currency at a future date. Like real-time FX rates, forward rates are constantly changing intraday with market activity.
